This has been a tough year. We’ve all experienced unprecedented upheaval and restrictions in 2020, and many of us have lost loved ones. But even in the most difficult of times we have to forge ahead. This is a time when the direction of the world is being set, and despite uncertainties we still have to make choices — we still need to keep advancing our personal dreams. Tomorrow is something we have to create, not wait for. By focusing on the betterment of our future — no matter the obstacles or setbacks — we can make progress and remain positive, surmounting any difficulty. By getting clear about our desires and keeping focused toward the end goal, we keep ourselves moving forward, despite all odds.
Dig deep to find whatever feeling, vision, goal or reward that gets you moving! If you are frustrated by a lack of progress, examine your goals. Are they achievable? Are you trying to do too much? Write down the steps you need to follow to realize your dream. Take things slower, accomplishing one task at a time, rewarding yourself afterward. Set clear objectives — these are easier to stick to than broad-based plans — and share these objectives with others. November is an important month for forging ahead. * 1 November (31st October in U.S.A): Full Moon in Taurus — Life’s Trick or Treat! Around Halloween an extra spooky Full Moon in Taurus illuminates the sky, aligning almost exactly with volatile Uranus! This earthy Lunar energy, opposing the Scorpio Sun, highlights surprises — and not necessarily the candy coated kind. We are strongly urged now to keep our ‘cool’ — to foster stability and practicality while avoiding impulsive, risk-taking or over-excited feelings. This is a time of shaking up complacency and releasing old concepts (especially regarding money, personal welfare, relationships or creature comforts — all ruled by Taurus), and may bring to light an electrical turn of events. Use this occasion to seek out security, peace, patience and avoid dramas. Although a tricky and emotional time, it is a time of culmination — an urging to let go of the past and move forward into the future with greater positivity, productivity and prosperity!
* 4 November (3rd in U.S.A): Mercury in Libra goes Direct — Forward-Thinking! With Mercury, the planet of thought, movement and communications now going Direct (finally!) we are giving the celestial signal to move forward in our expressions and actions! In the sign of Libra, we enter a new phase of forward-thinking/positive expectations while seeking greater harmony and agreeable interactions. A big part of keeping peace in our lives is not expecting total happiness or total calamity at every turn. Keeping the balance in our lives and expectations helps us cultivate greater emotional, mental and physical ease. In the weeks ahead we’re given more power to make positive changes in the way we think, perceive life and express ourselves. We can now get to the bottom of important issues as our investigative skills are sharper and our analytical abilities more precise. This time is advantageous for in-depth study or researching projects, while using intuitive energy to solve problems. We can better understand the motivations of ourselves and others, while transformation of our thoughts and interactions is highlighted. This is a great time to declutter the mind of any self-sabatogizing influences, focusing on changing negative mental habits to positive ones and getting to the heart of any matter. * Mars in Aries Retrograde/Turns Direct 14 November: The planet ruling energy, action and combativeness in its own sign of assertive Aires brings an extremely dynamic period — especially as it continues its “backward” movement until 13 November, 2020. The last time this Mars Retrograde occurred in Aries was 1988 — but this time it will be even more powerful as it makes challenging connections with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. As this Retrograde Mars in Aries continues though the U.S. presidential elections, we can expect a combative and divisive time, with angry and reactive feelings going back and forth and potential for the abuse of power. Strong confrontational and combative emotions are highlighted — not only with world events but in our own personal lives. This is a time to be cautious, to think before replying, not to take things too personally or overreact to situations. On the upside, during this Retrograde occurrence we may have greater focus, determination, drive and endurance regarding our personal goals and passions. Use this time to rework or revise life endeavours while finding greater inner power, self-awareness and personal strength. Mars will be in Aries until 7 January 2021.
* Jupiter is in Capricorn: As Jupiter continues to move through the serious sign of Capricorn, we let go of the fantasies and delusions and get real with our dreams and desires. This is a cycle of responsibility, duty and improved morality — especially regarding those in power. As Capricorn is an Earth sign, we’ll be focusing on better ways to organize our lives while embracing greater security, stability and structure. We will now be concentrating on steady growth, working on long term goals and improving the rules we live by. Because we’ll be more hard working, dedicated and serious, we’ll have a better chance of success, progress and material well-being. By using the knowledge that we gain from these experiences, we can acquire greater wisdom, self awareness, patience and finally, advancement. * Uranus in Taurus is Retrograde: The planet signifying change, revolution and innovation is in the sign of Taurus which represents its opposite — stability, assurance and safeguarding! For the next 7 years this Uranus/Taurus pairing highlights liberation from the customary way of doing things in favor of new methods and inventive techniques. Also, as Taurus rules our personal values, creativity, material goods, finances, food and general enjoyment, we will see new innovations in these areas. Uranus will seek to shift the security-conscious/money-minded principles of the Bull by remodeling the way we handle our resources, material wealth and investment interests. We can expect a new wave of economic innovation helping us to focus on being more authentic and practical in our approach to things. As Uranus continues its 5 month Retrograde cycle, we’ll experience further shifting themes of how we view stability. Greater appreciation for the beauty around us as well as within us is also emphasized. We are urged to feel and express greater “we-are-all-one” compassion toward ourselves and others — along with further sympathetic understanding and involvement with humanitarian endeavours. Greater focus on our faith, spirituality and need for understanding of one another is highlighted! As Neptune goes Retrograde, we will be urged to readdress all the above issues and re-evaluate how we plan to manifest our future hopes and dreams. * Pluto is in Capricorn: As the planet of Transformation continues its travels through the sober sign of Capricorn, we reexamine serious issues and concerns regarding the positive changes we would like to make to ourselves and our world. The overall theme of this cycle is uncovering the misuse of power and authority to enable change for the better. It represents a major time of rediscovery, review and reconsideration that brings transformation to our society, government, world order and Mother Earth. It also pushes us to think about the changes we want to make to our belief structures and our power as individuals and as citizens of the world. Pluto will continue to be in Capricorn until 24 March 2023.
* Chiron is in Aries Retrograde: As the minor planet/comet Chiron, connected to the archetype of the “wounded healer” moves through the independent, assertive and aggressive fire sign of Aries, our identities are highlighted. During this time we’ll have greater opportunity to overcome personal obstacles, discover new strength, manifest healing and further self confidence. Chiron is said to act as a link between the conscious and unconscious and as such, can represent transformation in body, mind and soul. As we surmount challenges, we find greater empowerment, advancing our unique spirits while manifesting more of our dreams. Chiron will be in Aries until 2027.
